Makita BHP452HW Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless Hammer Driver Drill Kit Review
This product is a reliable and great product, but it is the battery which is the star of this show.’ It comes highly recommended by many builders for its compact and portable qualities.’ It is light at 3.7 pounds.’ Its uses include building an 8 x 10′ deck with power to spare and almost any household or commercial project you could imagine.
This product also tested well in driving cement screws into slate and other hard materials and is comparable to larger industrial size hammer drills. The best thing about this drill compared to previous is the length of power life from the Lithium-Ion battery.’ Other people had mentioned they were surprised on how long the charge lasted especially after sitting in the garage awhile.’ But if fifteen minutes is all it takes for recharge, I’m sure a much needed break in the work won’t bring its rating down.’
The drill is well balanced, precise, and has a handy flat clip that slips over your belt or in a large pocket.’ Some of the other comments noted about this drill is that is superior to some of the completion such as Kawisaki, Black and Decker and even Craftsman!’ Consumer reports rated it well, and some other features were it sits up nicely on a shelf.’ The grip is also handy whether wearing work gloves or bare-handed.’ The drill itself is black and sleek as is the charger, the case is a bright green.’ Of the people interviewed about the BHP452HW, there were very many positive and hardly any negative comments.’ The Positive descriptions given in surveys of customers who were verified to have owned one were that it was easy to use and store.’ It has a good grip , good safety features and was powerful.’ It was handy in the yard, for home repair, in the home building and remodeling industries.” It is also a very durable product which was demonstrated by a man who said he dropped it accidently, of course, off the top of a six foot ladder. The cost on this unit runs $204- $239.00 depending where you shop or look on line.’ It has a three year warranty and a one year on the battery.’ So the pros definitely were more prevalent.’
And now for the cons which are few and far between for most.’ A few said the fan is a little loud but that is a minor point to most consumers of this Makita model. While the drill is absolutely great, the plastic case isn’t quite up to par.’ A lot of bits and spaces are poorly designed and battery doesn’t tightly fit into its spot in the case.’ Overall, it was hard to find many flaws in this hammer/driver/drill combo and it will certainly be a best seller.’ Anyone being new to the Makita brand, will certainly be surprised by the power of this light weight tool which has got the power to deliver the nails or screws where they belong.
